During a very successful freshman campaign, MIT point guard Mitchell Kates got a lot of attention from defenders on the court and, now that the season is over, he is starting to get attention from national media as well. This season he led the NEWMAC in steals and assists and was named the NEWMAC Newcomer of the Year, as well as second-team All-Conference.
