MIT's size was just too much, as they nearly doubled-up Emerson College in rebounds, 37-19, en route to a 70-56 home victory. MIT was led by sophomores Will Tashman (22 points, 9 rebounds, 2 blocks, and 1 steal) and Mitchell Kates (15 points, 6 assists, and 3 steals).
The game started in defensive gridlock, as the score stood just 16-14 with 6 minutes remaining in the first half. MIT would finish the half strong, however, going on a 19-6 run to end the half up by 15. In the second half, MIT would extend the lead to as many as 22 with 8 minutes remaining in the game, before Emerson went on a small run to account for the final 14 point margin.
