#9 MIT Takes Care of Emerson

The MIT Engineers, recently ranked #9 in the nation by D3Hoops.com, took care of Emerson this evening 89-57. Tech connected on 14 of 20 three-pointers, dished out 25 assists, and out-rebounded Emerson 30-13.

MIT was led by senior Billy Bender with his third 20+ point outing in four games, as he nailed a blistering 6 three-pointers out of 7 attempts. He finished the night tying his career-high of 24 points along with 7 rebounds, 3 steals, and 2 assists in 26 minutes of action.

All-American Noel Hollingsworth registered 17 points in 24 minutes, connecting on all three of his treys, while All-Region big man Will Tashman filled the stat sheet with 14 points, 8 rebounds, 5 assists, 3 blocks, and 2 steals.

Sharp-shooter Jamie Karraker connected on three three-pointers as well as All-Conference selection Mitchell Kates owned the show with 6 assists and 3 steals.

The Engineers moved up to #9 in the polls this week

Tech takes on Newbury College at their place on Thursday at 7pm.
